Get airborne at Classic Flyers

Feel the wind in your face as you fly over Tauranga in an open cockpit Bi-Plane, side by side seating in a CT4 Air Trainer or the thrill of the roaring Pratt & Whitney radial engine of the Harvard that powers you down the runway.
The passenger experience starts with getting suited up in a flight suit, helmet and goggles, then being strapped into the cockpit and briefed on the flight while the aircraft is flight prepped and started up. The Boeing Stearman, CT4 Air Trainer & North American Harvard are based at Classic Flyers and can be booked in advance any day of the week.
Contact the Classic Flyers crew today, 07 572 4000 or email enquire@classicflyersnz.com

CT4 B Adventure Flights

The CT/4 Airtrainer was the primary pilot training aircraft for the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) for nearly 40 years, and the only New Zealand-designed and manufactured aircraft to have ever been operated by the RNZAF. The RNZAF ordered 19 CT/4Bs in July 1975, to replace its ageing fleet of Harvards.

In 1980, the RNZAF aerobatic display team, the Red Checkers, reformed using the CT/4B and were regular performers at air shows and public events around New Zealand until their disbandment following the retirement of the Airtrainer (CT/4E model) in 2015.

This aircraft is a side by side seating with aerobatics as part of the flight.

The CT4 B Adventure Flight costs $550 (30 min actual air time).
